Allies & Companions
Falwan
A halfling from Kintargo — former party member, now a free agent who keeps crossing paths with the group. Falwan played a decisive role in the Cypress Point operation: he infiltrated the smokehouse, located the hostages and Xerelilah, and rappelled down a rope with her at the critical moment. He has intelligence on Scarlet Triad operations in Kintargo and knows about the Sunset Imports front. He is Bellflower-adjacent — part of the network that helps halflings escape bondage, though the specifics of his affiliation are his own business.
Xerelilah
The elderly leader of Cypress Point, a cleric of Desna. The Ravounel gazetteer describes her as a woman who has shepherded her town through hard times. The party discovered the fuller measure of that: when the Scarlet Triad raided Cypress Point, Xerelilah was taken along with the other prisoners. From the smokehouse roof, with the battle still ongoing below, she assessed the situation and cast a single divine sleep spell that put One-Eye Amnin unconscious where he stood. She ended the fight herself. The party let her.
Kyrion
A dragon freed from enslaved service to the Cinderclaws during the events of Book 2. Kyrion owes the party a debt — formal, acknowledged, unforgotten. The nature of what that debt might require has not yet been tested.
Nketiah (deceased)
Leader of the Leopard Clan of the Ekujae. She died in the final assault on the Fortress of Sorrow, during the climactic battle that ended Book 2. She was young by elven standards, driven, and willing to extend trust to outsiders when the stakes required it. Her father Jahsi survived her.
Enemies
One-Eye Amnin
Scarlet Triad captain and commander of the Cypress Point operation. Named for an obvious reason. He ran the logistics of the slave ship Genie's Smile from the Nine Shields Smokehouse, operated with the easy authority of someone who has never had cause to fear interruption. Xerelilah's divine sleep spell dropped him unconscious on the rooftop before he could demonstrate whether that assessment was accurate. His fate remains pending — he was alive when the battle ended.
Laslunn
Laslunn is the Scarlet Triad's commanding figure in Kintargo. She does not yet know that her Cypress Point operation has been entirely destroyed. When she finds out, the party's window for surprise closes.
The Scarlet Triad
A criminal organization with operations throughout Ravounel and beyond, trafficking in enslaved people. Their Kintargo base operates under the front of Sunset Imports. The party has been accumulating intelligence on them since the events at the wainwright's shop where Heuberk Thropp died. They are the primary antagonists of Book 3.
Unresolved
Renali (soul-bound)
A druid who traveled with the party as a companion through much of Book 2. During the Cypress Point operation, the kalavakus demon Bullbutcher used its Enslaved Soul ability before it was killed, binding Renali's soul to the Abyss. Her body is gone. Her soul is somewhere in an abyssal demesne. This is not over.
