Party

Frazzle
Oracle / Gunslinger
A goblin oracle haunted by the voices of lost souls — and armed with a gun that speaks in cold light.
Nadira
Cleric of Sarenrae
A warpriest of the Dawnflower, plagued by visions of fire — and drawn to Breachill by the sight of a town burning before it happened.
Theo Bungie
Sorcerer
An Imperial bloodline sorcerer with ancestral ties to Breachill, Ulfen heritage, and a quiet Desna-adjacent spirituality he does not advertise.
William Hales
Champion of Shelyn
A Champion of Liberation devoted to the goddess of beauty and love — who trained in Deception and chooses, deliberately, when not to use it.

NPCs

Alak Stagram
An armiger of the Order of the Nail who joined the party at Citadel Altaerein in search of his family's signet ring. He stayed through the end of Book 1 and departed when the path led to the Mwangi Expanse.
Breachill Town Council
The five-seat council that governs Breachill. They issued the Call for Heroes that started everything, and they know less about the town's founding than they think they do.
Calmont Trenault
A halfling opportunist and failed arsonist who set Breachill's town hall ablaze on Voz Lirayne's behalf, then took a goblin hostage at knifepoint on the citadel battlements. He surrendered, was returned to Breachill in custody, and faced the town council's justice there.
Falwan
A halfling investigator from Kintargo who came to Breachill chasing a missing persons case and stayed to build something worth staying for.
Helba Bumblebrasher
The Bumblebrasher chieftain — the one who holds the tribe together, who saw what Warbal was before Warbal did, and who was still on her feet after Calmont's knife and a Cinderclaw siege.
Lamond Breachton
The wandering wizard who found fifty people dying in a valley and spent a year pulling them back from the edge. Breachill still carries his name. He left and never came back.
Pib and Zarf
Two kobolds who have always been dragons, and would very much appreciate it if everyone would finally acknowledge this.
Renali
An anadi explorer who traveled with the party from the Goblinblood Caves to Cypress Point. She died there. Her soul did not go where souls are supposed to go.
Voz Lirayne
A necromancer and secret Norgorber cultist who operated a bookshop in Breachill as cover for her research into Alseta's Ring. She was the party's first real antagonist, and they killed her for it.
Warbal Bumblebrasher
The Bumblebrasher tribe's first and only ambassador to Breachill — the goblin who had been putting a face on her people long before the party ever set foot in Citadel Altaerein.
Ose Atsu & Ose Panin
The identical twin rulers of Akrivel and the Leopard Clan. They granted the party an audience before the welcoming feast, asked them hard questions, and issued a challenge that Theo met. Their clan fought at the Fortress of Sorrow. One of the two still governs.
The Crusaders
Twenty-five veterans of the disbanded Fifth Mendevian Crusade who arrived at Citadel Altaerein three days before the Abyss portal opened, drawn west by something none of them could name.
Nketiah
Linguist and keeper of Ekujae knowledge, daughter of the keledi warrior Jahsi. She guided the party through the Mwangi and died in Belmazog's sanctum.
